Animation Showreel: "Rusty Knight" by Therese Ackermann

This is a fun showreel from animator Therese Ackermann using advanced software (Autodesk Maya) that you may find amusing. This is a good showreel because it is professionally done and includes the audio - they don't always.

"Rusty Knight" is produced by Caligari Film GmbH. It appears to be a feature film leading into a German TV series. Since we don't all live in Germany, this may be your first exposure to this fine animation.

As Ackermann says on her page:
This is my latest animation show reel. All shown animation was done with the software "Maya". Have fun watching it!
Here is the official trailer for "Rusty Knight":

The official synopsis:
Knight Rusty is in for the adventure of his life: Just as his dream of winning the big tournament comes true, he is falsely accused of theft. Stripped of his knightly honour and his castle, he sets out to redeem himself and to win back the heart of his damsel. Can he also defeat the evil prince and save the kingdom?
The production apparently is based upon the book "Rusty Knight and Other Tales from Germany" by Richard Volkmann-Leander.

You probably never saw this before - and now you have. Mission accomplished. More inspiration for what we all could achieve with the right training and inspiration!
