Animator vs. Animation IV. |
Animator vs. Animation IV, by Alan Becker.
This is an extremely clever (and extremely long for what we usually post here) animation. It is part of a series by Becker, which follows his travails as he works on animating stick figures.
You don't have to have seen the others in the series to enjoy this one. Our hero is an animator whose animations cause him nothing but trouble - in fact, he had to buy a whole new computer because of one such figure who got disruptive. Things just get out of hand!
This animation was bankrolled by Kickstarter supporters. Becker writes that he put in “738.25 work hours” to complete it. So, it's got that going for it.
Either you really like this, or you likely won't like it at all. Try it and see, you might become a fan of the stick figure man!
From the youtube page:
The struggle between a stick figure and its creator, a computer animator. In this fourth installment, the animator is finally shown in real life interacting with his computer monitor. The stick figure, resisting his tormentor, attacks his social life by hacking his Facebook account, traveling onto his iPhone via USB cord, and drawing animations of his own to dismantle the animation interface.
