"Lava." |
'Lava" is a short from Pixar Animation Studios that will be on the big screen in the summer of 2015 (yes, they're already talking about that).
"Lava" showcases the isolated beauty of tropical islands and the explosive power and beauty of ocean volcanoes. It is a musical love story that takes place over millions of years.
"Lava" is directed by James Ford Murphy with producer Andrea Warren. It hits theaters on June 19, 2015, in front of the animated feature film "Inside Out."
It seems highly coincidental that "Moana" coming along in a few years also is going to feature the south seas and islands and all that. Of course, it's probably not coincidental at all, Disney/Pixar is obviously hard at work on the whole tropical theme and the animators already are probably getting irked at drawing yet more vibrantly green forests of palm trees and white, sandy beaches with crashing waves.
