"Persona 4 the Golden Animation" Coming July 10, 2014

Persona 4: The Golden Animation

"Persona 4 the Golden Animation" is eagerly awaited by fans of the 2011 anime "Persona 4: The Animation."

It is three years after the events in "Persona 4: The Animation." Yu Narukami returns to deal with the TV World and his Persona powers.

Here's the first episode of "Persona 4 the Golden Animation":

Contrary to what some apparently thought, "Persona 4 the Golden Animation" is a sequel, not a remake of the expanded version of the original series for Playstation Vita. PlayStation Vita add-on character Marie, the Velvet Room assistant, appears.

The game was 100 hours, so they are going to have to condense things a bit for the series. Most anime episodes are 20-30 minutes long, and 12 episodes of "Persona 4 the Golden Animation" are planned. A different studio, A-1 Pictures, is making this sequel, but the same director, Seiji Kishi, is involved.

The broadcast will start with MBS and then quickly move to other broadcasters following a regional rollout. Seiji Kishi is the chief director, with Tomohisa Taguchi handling the ongoing direction. Character designs are set to be done by Yuu Shindou and the series is scripted by Jun Kumagai.

Persona 4: The Golden Animation

The basic plot is that it is springtime in a peaceful rural town, far removed from the city. A boy, Yū Narukami, gets off the train at Yaso Inaba Station, where the cherry blossom petals are falling. Due to his family’s situation, he moves to Inaba to live with his uncle and attends Yasogami High School. We then follow his adventures, which involve ordinary school life, the mall, the late-night movies, and multiple murders that he must solve.

‘Persona 4 the Golden Animation’ will start streaming via Aniplex USA on July 10 for Hulu, Crunchyroll, Aniplex and Daisuki. No specific time has been set just yet. Most likely it will be a 12 A.M. launch.
