Rosetta goes to sleep.
Fun little Rosetta Spacecraft Animation.

We've kind of been half-heartedly watching the progress of Rosetta, the European Space Agency (ESA) probe, and came upon this charming little animation that they put out. Over the summer, it rendezvoused with comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko and entered orbit. Its lander Philae will land on the comet soon, which will get some images from the surface and do some analysis.

It's kind of geek heaven, and the show will pick up steam as we get closer to touchdown next month. This is just a fun little animation to serve as hors d'oeuvres.
