"Earth to Luna!" Animated Series for Preschoolers Coming

Earth to Luna!
The U.S. 24-hour preschool network Sprout is working hard to educate children in an entertaining way about science. Accordingly, it has picked up a new animated science series, "Earth to Luna!"

From Brazil’s TV PinGuim, "Earth to Luna! will be broadcast exclusively in the U.S. and is set to debut August 16, 2014. The series features Luna, a 6-year-old girl who is passionate about science. For Luna, the Earth is a giant laboratory and she dives into new experiences with her little brother Jupiter and pet ferret Clive.

There are 52 11-minute shows planned, probably an ideal length of time for pre-schoolers to watch and absorb.

“Sprout is committed to creating and acquiring the best content for preschoolers and their families,” said Andrew Beecham, the senior VP of programming at Sprout. “Each episode of "Earth to Luna!" explores the impact that science has on our world, and Luna, in her curious way, pursues answers to scientific questions that viewers will relate to and enjoy.”
